Chris Hof is an award-winning Filmmaker, Director of Photography BVK and Screenwriter working between Munich, Berlin and Bali. His background ranges from music to photography to dramatic screenwriting.

Born in the countryside in Hessen, Germany, and soon after studying music, he worked as a fashion photographer in Paris. Chris decided to change into the film business and found his passion: making films. He learned filmmaking at the Bavaria Filmstudios, Geiselgasteig, and is a member of BVK German Society of Cinematographers. His various works include music videos, documentaries, feature films and commercials with a great aesthetic.

Currently, Chris is working on his second Feature film, PA JACK. His cinematic debut was IRIS SPEAKS, a documentary about environment problems in Bali. His second short movie, MUNICH ON SUNDAY is about the adventure of getting to know each other and the dream of a future worth living in different ways. The film won 3 Golden Awards at International Film Festivals. His first feature film UNGUN will be released in 2026.

Chris has been working as an independent filmmaker since 2022. Since 2024 he collaborates as a producer with number8film, focusing on cinema and international co-productions.
